RFID Mobile Applications
Pendragon Forms now provides the ability to directly capture RFID data into mobile forms and solutions, storing IDs, pulling up records, and validating input.
Using the Forms interface designer, organizations can rapidly create RFID mobile solutions and sync data with a centralized source. Mobile device users can collect data offline after downloading their forms.
1) Download the ScanTest.pff form at the bottom of this page. Import the form into the Forms List in Pendragon Forms and then freeze and publish the form. Sync Pendragon Forms on your Android device to load the form.
The script needed to capture RFID scans is the use of a scan event and obtaining the scandata value as follows:

Go to Settings on your Android device, scroll down to RFID Setup and tap on it.
Tap on Scanning Options and verify that MultiTag Mode is not checked. Then tap the back button to return to the RFID Set up home screen.
Tap the Hardware Trigger and check the Action Button checkbox under the SCANNER HARDWARE BUTTON section
Scroll down to KEYBOARD WEDGE. Check the Keyboard Wedge checkbox.
Tap Prefix, select the last radio button and enter a tilde (~). Click "OK" to save the setting.
Tap Suffix, select the last radio button and verify that it is blank.
Tap Metadata Delimiter and select "Comma".
Tap Multi-Tag Delimiter and select "Newline".
Return to Pendragon Forms and open the Scan Test form and add a record. Press the action button to scan a RFID tag within proximity. Scanned tags will trigger the scan event if discovered.
